Oakfield Farm Turkeys

Our ethically reared, traditionally slowly produced, bronze turkeys live the proper free range life on our family farm. They join our family as day olds in early summer and spend the first few weeks snuggled under the brooder growing feathers to keep them warm before they move to the great outdoors. They spend the remaining summer and autumn roaming free on the farm in an area of mixed woodland, taking shelter in the poly tunnel at night. On the farm they enjoy a diet of cereal based feeds, foraging for insects and vegetation as well as enjoying fallen apples in their woodland paddock. All of our turkeys are grown to the highest welfare standards, traditionally reared over a 6 month period so they develop the extra special taste the supermarkets turkeys just don’t have!

The turkeys come beautifully wrapped in butcher’s paper, tied with a festive ribbon, all in a biodegradable Oakfield Farm Turkey carry box. They are oven ready and we include some cooking guidelines to make it super easy to serve up a special festive meal.

Collection is on the 23^rd December from Oakfield Farm, we have other local producers during this time to pick up any last minute Christmas essentials. We also offer a drop off at Arngask Home Farm, Glenfarg.
